We are excited that Illinois American Water has awarded the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District $1,000 for improving its response capabilities. Without water, firefighters are ineffective at suppressing fires. We will use the money to upgrade our fire hydrant connection kits on all pumpers.

“We are always looking for grant opportunities. Illinois American Water’s grant fills a critical needs for us. Without it we would be forced to delay or forgo certain purchases that allow us to be ready to respond. We are truly appreciative and grateful for the generosity and partnership afforded to us by Illinois American Water” said Fire Chief Drew Smith.
