Over the summer of 2017 a family that lives in our community had a special delivery at approximately 5am one week day. Expecting their second child and prepared to go to the hospital to deliver the baby the new born had another plan for mom and dad. Right there in the house a new life was born and the fire department was called to assist with the baby and mom. The fire department responded with 2 Ambulances, 1 Engine company and our Battalion Chief to treat and transport the mom and baby. The family stopped by several months later to extend their thanks and gratitude for all we did. We informed mom she did all the hard work.
